These terms and conditions serve as the contract between the customer and Sara Cakes. By paying this invoice, the customer is agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Your initial deposit reserves your event date, is due 7 days after placing the order, and is non-refundable.
Sara Cakes must receive the balance due at least one week before the event date.
We cannot refund any of the cost of any cake orders cancelled with less than two weeks notice. Orders paid in full and cancelled with more than two weeks notice will receive a partial refund of 50% of the total amount paid. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your order for any reason, then we will give you as much notice as possible, and discuss the matter with you and try to agree a suitable alternative. If you are not willing to accept our suggested alternative, then we will refund the full price to you.
Sara Cakes will not offer refunds or exchanges for products that meet our quality standards once a cake has been picked up/delivered and “Accepted” by you or another designated party.
The final date of any changes for the size, flavor, style, etc. of the cake are due 30 days prior to the event. Any changes after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges. All changes to existing orders must be submitted in writing through email only. Changes communicated via phone, social media messaging, text, etc. will not be honored.
If the customer supplies an image or likeness to be created, Sara Cakes will make every attempt to make the item as close to the likeness as possible. In the event that the product requires equipment or ingredients that cannot be obtained (exotic flavors, molds, shapes, stamps, texture, additional novelty), the closest resemblance available will be used to complete the product.
Color matching is not a precise science and different sugar substrates take color differently. Sara Cakes will do everything possible to make substrates match to each other and to match provided color swatches, but sometimes it is not possible to make a 100% perfect color match and some colors are just not achievable using food grade dyes.
To maintain stability and the integrity of your event cake, The Bakery reserves the right to make design and structural changes to your cake on site or off, without prior notification.
All rental items will be for a seven (7) day period. The day of the event and up to six (6) days after. A late fee of $25.00 per day will be imposed for each day the items are late.
Once cakes are set up, they are not intended to be moved until served. Sara Cakes is not responsible for damage caused by others after the cake is set up by Sara Cakes staff. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below.
If you or your representative elect to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Sara Cakes possession.
In the case of an unavoidable occurrence, such as an act of god, a car accident, poor road conditions, or dropping off cake during delivery — Sara Cakes cannot be held liable for more than the price of the cake described in this order.
On occasion we will photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.
Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.
